Sherlock and his iPhone

                                                                                                                                    English version

Lover of detective no badge, grew up with Edgar Allan Poe and the poetic figure investigator Dupin, who has inspired even the Japanese manga with Conan Detective or by Mrs. Fletcher; I speak about Sherlock overwhelmed by technology. Who would have thought? Not finding a modernization in the strict sense, but a successful transposition of the present day.

Writing, directing, photography and excellent interpretations. One of the best debuts of the season for a long time. A tribute to "A Study in Red", the first novel by Doyle and it starts with one of the most fascinating characters of all time.

Sherlock Holmes Benedict Cumberbatch: In the first scene already outlines the Sherlock we know from novels: a young clean metropolitan man, Belstaff coat with 1000 pounds, stylish apparel, feline in the movements and gaze. The misogyny and observation distinguish, arrogance and self-confidence, make the character unique and above everything. Sherlock is the purest logic, is a pure synthesis of the concept. He replace the pipe with the nicotine patches, but he keep the usual address in Baker Street, eliminated the etiquette that Sherlock a time he brought with him and leave him free to be rude, to offend, to show even more its intellectual superiority. And for readers of Holmes is just to have fun in the hunt for details.

Dr. Watson in Martin Freeman, the former military doctor returned from Afghanistan that turns out not fearful of returning to civilian life, but nostalgic war, Sherlock at first glance it looks, understand it and understand in a moment more than you his analyst did with more sessions. Interpretation of now ex Bilbo Baggins, excellent. Again, we denote immediately the key features of the character. Martin Freeman gives birth to a doctor who is emancipated from the role of a second, becoming a fellow investigator for the sibling.

And here, in particular, there isn't anything wrong. The couple Sherlock - Watson is perfect: where is the investigator with pink cell phone in hand, there is Watson to ask him where he got; from the first meeting were able to create the fundamental truth: without one, the other can not be great.

The technique of transposition messages - thoughts are one of the most innovative ideas of the show, where they appear in the foreground messages, enabling us to share not only what you need to know about the story and its plot, but also to know the thoughts of Sherlock; it is like if the transposition to the present day to which we referred was over, no one knows how, at the center of the project realization of the show. As if the director wants to emphasize the desire to create a character with the makings of Sherlock in the present day, to guarantee him the rightful place in real life, in our daily lives today. [SPAM!]
[Transposed to the present day does not happen only from a technological point only (think how their GPS to "fix" or at least to facilitate the interweaving)] but also the psychological component should not be underestimated. Absurd and paradoxical in a movie where logic plays a leading role and puts in check any emotion. And to make matters worse, it's just the same Sherlock to do as a thread about psychology, correcting one of the policemen, who called him a psychopath derisory tone, establishing himself as one sociopath hyperactive. The distinction between sociopathy and psychopathy is incredibly modern and somehow is the latest in a series underscore contextualized today.

The positives of Sherlock are so positive to have a consistency, rather than a numerical value, one of the most beautiful early season long. A number that makes the acting and script one of his strengths, no ifs, ands or buts. Watch it and enjoy it, but recollect... The few episodes of a season could prove fatal for a return to the hunched position over the books of the first Sherlock, Doyle signed.

"Removed the impossible, whatever remains, improbable, must be the truth." - Sherlock Holmes
